If you’re eyeing the private sector, Sharif Medical City Lahore requires JCAT for program admission. Completing JCAT opens doors to applying for the Punjab Residency Program through the Central Induction Policy. The Joint Centralized Admission Test (JCAT) is your gateway to enrolling in Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programs offered by various institutions.
KEMU organizes this exam for the first intake in March and the second intake in October/November.
The test is held twice a year and remains valid for three years.
To be eligible for the Joint Central Admission Test, you need:
1) MBBS/BDS from an HEC/PMC-recognized university, college, or institute.
2) Completion of a 1-year house job.
3) PMC Registration.
Achieve a minimum of 60% to pass the entry test.
For the exam, make sure to have the following documents ready:
1) Passport-size photo.
2) CNIC or Passport.
3) All Marksheets, Degrees, and Transcripts.
4) PMC registration certificate.
5) House job certificate.
